Pottery Perfection and Ghoul Runnings Kayak Adventures are partnering to bring you a unique opportunity to combine the world of art, nature, and kayaking into a relaxing and enjoyable summer evening on Friday, June 28.
The fun begins at Ghoul Runnings Kayak Adventures A-Frame located at 1773 S River Rd in Fremont (right across from the Fremont Reservoir), where from 6 pm to 8 pm, guests will enjoy the tranquility of painting outdoors in a natural setting. Artist and co-owner of Pottery Perfection, Joni Hasselbach, will instruct guests to create an awesome “Sunset at the Reservoir” painting in acrylic on a 16″ x 20″ canvas. This painting featuring a cool VW Minibus and kayak with a reservoir sunset will make a lovely keepsake of a genuinely memorable evening. This is a step-by-step instruction class, and no painting experience is required. Ghoul Runnings will provide guests with refreshing lemonade, iced tea, and bottled water while they are painting. Snacks and munchie items will be available for purchase.
After everyone has finished their paintings, guests will set out on a fantastic sunset adventure provided by your hosts, Bob and Beth Turner, Ghoul Runnings Kayak Adventures owners. Guests may choose either a single or tandem kayak and gear for a beautiful Sunset Paddle on the Fremont Reservoir or a guided History and Mystery Lantern Walking Tour of the Ghoul Runnings property and the reservoir. No kayaking experience is necessary—ACA-certified instructors and Guides will be on hand to assist new paddlers. If you have your own kayak and feel comfortable using it, feel free to bring it with you.
This is a bundled event with a total cost of $50 per person (non-refundable). We offer an early bird special for those signing up by June 1. Their names will be entered in a drawing to be held on the event night of June 28; two prizes will be awarded: one winner will receive a Ghoul Runnings tie-dye t-shirt and one winner a $20 Pottery Perfection Gift Card. In case of inclement weather, a rain date is June 29, beginning at 6 pm. Registration is due by June 27.
