Our paint me a story is our art and literacy program. We have a community leader/ guest read to the children ages 2-12 paint a corresponding piece of pottery. This week reader is Ohio native Kellie Carte-Sears. Kellie began writing children’s books years ago as a means to help stimulate dialogue on emotions between children and their parents or guardians. Those books became the beginning of a fun, brightly illustrated Social Emotional Learning book series, Moments with Massy ™. Released in 2020, “Moving Away Will Be Okay” quickly gained stellar reviews, worldwide sales, and top 10 ranking in the Children’s Christian Emotions and Feelings category, while her second publication, “You’re Not Bad, We ALL Get Mad”, gained a coveted #1 New Release status.
