Paint Me a Story is our art and literacy program for children aged 2-12. Our guest reader will read a selected story, and then the children paint a corresponding piece of pottery. On Tuesday, October 15 (5:30-7 pm), we welcome our guest reader of the month, Mike Mezinger. Mike has served 27 years with the Fremont Fire Department, including as Captain. For the past two years, he has been serving as Community Affairs Officer. In this position, he teaches fire safety. Mike will read “Dragon’s Fiery Tale: A Guide to Fire Safety for Kids” by David Davies. Join Spark, the friendly dragon, on an exciting adventure as he discovers the importance of fire safety in his magical world. This enchanting storybook combines captivating storytelling with crucial safety tips, making learning about fire safety fun and memorable for young readers. After the story is read, the kids will paint an adorable ceramic fire truck as a keepsake of the event. The cost of this event is $10 (non-refundable) per child. We are a participating ACE provider!
