Paint a one-of-a-kind gourd birdhouse at our workshop and give your neighborhood birds a uniquely crafted place to call home. The workshop on Monday, June 17 (6 pm – 8 pm) will also include a demonstration by our instructor, Joni, on preparing a gourd for birdhouse usage, including how to clean it and drill holes. This workshop is fun and informative; it’s also a great bargain as we do all the gourd preparation work for you prior to the class, so the gourds are 100% ready for use, and all you have to do is paint them. This preparation process includes thoroughly scrubbing and cleaning the inside and outside of the gourd, then we drill an entry hole, a hanger hole, and drain holes. The drain holes allow the gourd to dry up faster after rain, keeping the nest safe. No experience is necessary for this class, so your instructor will guide you in painting your gourd and advise you on maintaining it. The cost of this class is $30 (non-refundable) per person. For an additional $10, you can purchase a tube of QuikWood if you would like to sculpt anything on the gourd. Registration is required by June 17. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and beverages; those 21+ may BYOB.https://pottery-perfection.square.site/product/gourd-birdhouse-workshop/7382?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0WMliroDLTRutNUWO7fMsaBkvp1ytXDIYM252iTotGhUcYwHBsbaOLySM_aem_AbIsy-FRRJuw1Qptt61rsWf_qEYms0taJaxsxBJdojaRgS_HpOVYKqkow85GRmbkdXCSUqJLnqwC5NqkOX12V6Ed
